"Liability Decreases when Training Standards Increase"

Right Eye Detective & Protective Services in partnership with Ultimate Shield Security Agency, Inc. had recently concluded the specialized and competency-based training of the security personnel assigned in GMA Network, Inc. on event security entitled: OBSCURITY TO SECURITY 101: A Toolbox Training on Event Security Management and Operations. The training was attended by field security officers, office managers of Right Eye and USSAI and security personnel tasked to provide security on events. The seminar-workshop was conducted in one of the beautiful workshop rooms at the 7th floor of the main building of GMA 7.

The training module discusses several issues that an event security practitioner needs to know for the effective and efficient administration of events such as;

• Issue # 1: Behavioral Induction and Public Relations. Enable the event security practitioner develop the proper behavior and approaches to different type of people because public relations are very important components of event management.
• Issue # 2: Job Description, Duties, Qualifications and Requirements. Appraise of the attributes required in order to set the right perspective that what lies ahead is not an easy task.
• Issue# 3: Needs, Challenges and Trainings. Be aware of the complexity of the responsibility attaches to the inherent function of security and to outline the required physical and aptitude trainings in order to carry out the given task.
• Issue # 4: Case Studies and Lessons Learned. Inform event security practitioner of the previous incidents in handling events as far as security is concerned and discuss the possible repercussions if an event security practitioner is not properly trained and prepared for the task. At the same time, learn from the shortcomings of security in the incidents and devise plan on how to correct known lapses.
• Issue # 5: Event Management System. Devise documented event security plan in every event that will happen which involve the participation of security and create action plans on what to do before, during and after when confronted with emergency situations.

(CURE), a security consultancy firm, will hold the Retail Theft Prevention and Countermeasures Seminar Module IV exclusively designed for the security personnel and tenants’ staff of the Power Plant Mall and other retail components within Rockwell community on November 10, 2010 at 8:00AM to 11:00AM at Cinema 5, R3 Level, Power Plant Mall.

The Subject-Matter-Experts from Right Eye and CURE will be discussing the overview and updates on retail theft, strengthen security through customer relations, courteous attention and observation techniques. This aims to reinforce the training sessions conducted early this year in preparation for the influx of shoppers in the coming Christmas season. This seminar is given free by the Power Plant Mall to show their continued support and commitment to all stakeholders to present a safe, secure and comfortable shopping environment to the general public.
